Why can't I open the .wotreplay file?

I want to see the inside of the replay. In a soft notepad, it opens at once, in line: geany - 0 reaction,
gedit - dies when opened. Atom opens, but the encoding shamelessly beats, and copy-paste completely kills any program that accepts the contents of the buffer.
What should I do?
