Why can't I log in to my account?

I decided to put a custom graphical shell. After it was necessary to enter the OS again, I ran into a problem:
They ask you to enter your login and password, after entering a black screen lights up for a second, and then again asks you to enter the password and so on in an endless loop (the password is correct, because I tried to log in through the terminal) .
There was a similar post on https://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/problems_with_login_in_y... , it said that the problem was in the Xauthority file, but deleting this file did not help me. There is an option to transfer all important folders to a USB flash drive through the terminal and reinstall os, but I want to resort to this as a last resort. I really need your help)))

Somehow I was in a similar situation and stupidly changed the password of my aka and sudo by standard means, and after a reboot I could no longer log in. Reset passwords via grub according to a similar scenario

Threat then I felt all my disappointment in the Linux security out of the box. But on the other hand, I did not have to reinstall the system

Try to create a new user and log in with him.
Another option is to delete (move to another location) all config files and directories from the home directory of the problematic user.
