Why can't I connect to telegram API via VPN?
I have already tried a bunch of VPN servers: the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland. VPN servers are working, but I can't connect through them to the resources blocked in Rashka. What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

In general, the problem turned out to be in DNS. In Ubuntu, in the /etc/resolv.conf configuration file, write down any public DNS server. I took google. It turned out:
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4 # for a spare
What program are you using to connect to the VPN? If this is OpenVPN, then you must run the program forcibly with administrator rights, otherwise the traffic will not go through the tunnel. To do this, right-click on the OpenVPN shortcut and select "Run as administrator".
You can still in the properties of the shortcut on the "Compatibility" tab, check the box "always run as administrator". Then you do not need to do it every time through the right click.
If the program is running, it must be closed and restarted according to the instructions above.
After connecting, check your IP address , if it has changed, then the VPN is working correctly and traffic is going through it.
