Why can sh.exe hang in cmder (conemu)?

I'm using cmder on Win10 64, running Git bash console:

"%ConEmuDrive%\Program Files\Git\git-cmd.exe" --no-cd --command=usr/bin/bash.exe -l -i

When stopped by Ctrl + C (mainly galp, frontend), it sometimes “hangs”: “sh.exe” is shown on the tab, the console does not register. "Hangs" for several tens of seconds, then comes to life. If you beat sh.exe from the task manager, the “hang” disappears.
What to do so that it does not freeze? (except for using power shell, switching to another OS, etc. tool change options)

@nicothin

The issue has been resolved for now by adding a hot button in the conemu settings to stop the active process. The process is killed perfectly, although it writes an npm error in the console itself.
