For developing under windows and in general everything related to MS (windows, office, xbox, MS SQL, .Net) and in C, C ++, C #, etc., it is really the best - you just try it - it is more convenient and more responsive than any some braked eclipse. For other platforms it is no longer so convenient. Well, it is also paid (if you are an honest person).
In general, this is not a panacea. Choose an IDE depending on the chosen language. For example, I know that VS allows you to program under python, but I won’t even try it for this task, since there is quite a comfortable PyCharm, which not only knows how, but is sharpened for python.
