Why are torrents ruining the internet?
I'm trying torrents here. Never used it before, but decided to check it out.
Question: why, if you turn on torrents, the rest of the Internet goes to almost zero?
Nothing loads in the browser. I would understand if it just slowed down, and it says "site not found".
Voice communication is also falling. It does not slow down, not the quality sags - but in general, even the Internet does not see!
Moreover, this happens even in the case when I hard cut the torrent channel. I set the band 10-20 times less than my real channel. I also set the limit on the number of connections several times less than the default values. Everything is useless: nothing works with torrents, but as soon as qBittorrent is beaten, it instantly comes to life. Only very late at night, when apparently everyone has gone to bed, does the regular Internet manage to weakly, but at least somehow break through the torrent.
Is this normal at all?
update
After a few days, the problem somehow gradually disappeared. It can be assumed that the reason was somewhere in the channel.

no, that's not normal.
there can be many reasons. for example, a dead router / modem / network card and 100,500 others.
linux? If you run under Linux, then this poor network subsystem is to blame, the recommendation is to switch to Windows.
