Why are there so many identical Nvidia Settings icons?

I had a rather strange problem: when I click on the "show hidden icons" arrow in the lower right corner, I see this picture: There are a



lot of identical "Nvidia Settings" icons. When I hover over them with the mouse, they disappear, and only 1 remains, and after a while they appear again.

Although this is not critical, it is very strange.
Please tell me how to fix this?

This effect can occur when the settings application terminates incorrectly (crashes). In this scenario, the icon from the taskbar notification area is not removed. After restarting the application, this icon is added to the notification area again.
