Why are there so few vacancies for game developers?

Hello, I'm a student looking to get involved in the gaming industry. Recently I monitored vacancies on sites, and noticed that there are very few vacancies in one way or another related to the gaming industry. I would like to know if this is the case only in Russia and the CIS countries, or is it like this everywhere?
PS: There is just a little fear of being left without the desired job ...

There are many ideas for good games, the complexity of development is high, the developers are expensive, the efficiency for such a salary is low, additional. industry financing - no, earnings on sales of the finished game - zero, tk. no one has money and purchasing power is zero.
As a result: why do something in such conditions, if it is both expensive and will not bring money?!
Only in large foreign companies does it make sense to get settled and work in terms of game development.

Specialists do not remain without work, there are vacancies, and online games and regular games are made in the CIS, the same Alawar, Nevosoft, etc., rather, you are just looking in the wrong way, try searching for specific game "engines", and in extreme cases there is Android and iOS with stores, you yourself will write and publish something, if you are a specialist, you will quickly reach a sufficient income.

Many, very many. Especially in hot seasons :). But there is one topic - in the gaming industry they are looking for people who can already show something. And here already there are difficulties for a simple student. Moreover, employers are ready to pay crazy money for a good specialist.
Jobs can be viewed from the developers themselves. You can also post a resume on a headhunter, but again, a portfolio is important. If it is not there, then go ahead to the sites of developers and offer yourself for meager money (to learn, to practice).
An example about one of my friends. The dude did not finish anything, no specialized institutes, universities, etc. He also dreamed of going to the game industry and knew how to model, but for some reason he was not invited :) He spat, took the engine, began to make games on his own, place them in stores. He also wrote articles, tutorials, and even books. And now it's interesting, now he is invited and even very actively. The last time they invited the lead of a development group with a fabulous salary, but refused - they say they are their own boss.
Why morality. Either look for an opportunity to get a real practice in a gaming company in your field, or spit on them and work on a portfolio. Good luck!
