Why are there no subfolders in my inbox?
Through the yandex web interface I create a subfolder in the inbox, in thunderbird this folder is displayed as a folder in the root, how so? Maybe there is a secret?

Try simply dragging this folder to your inbox. But most likely, it's all about the interpretation of the IMAP protocol in Thunderbird. Most likely, it does not treat attachments in the Inbox as attachments. Those. it may just be a "convenience" policy. How, for example, to put a default signature at the end of the letter (as was the custom many years ago), and not at the end of the message (as it is now).
In general, try dragging and write if it worked.
I did it, but not in a very obvious way.
You must create a folder on the mail page, where there are folders and letters, right-click on the "Inbox" and select "Create a new folder".
If you create a folder in the settings, it will be in the inbox in the web interface, but in the mail client it will be at the root.
Next, restart the mail client so that it updates its list of folders.
