Why are some fonts distorted on an external monitor?

Hi
I have a MacBook Pro 2015 and an external monitor Phillips 22 FullHd, connected via hdmi + adapter for a DVI monitor (there is no HDMI in the monitor, so an adapter is needed)
And so, it seems like a large monitor, and some fonts are generally unreadable. In iTunes, the Song Artist is generally blurry. In chrome, the tabs go some kind of ripple (the font means)
Is there any solution?
Thanks?

@MrMureno

maybe there are screenshots in the original resolution to see how they are "unreadable" there? Is the screen simply duplicated on an external one or does it expand? maybe after the retina display you have a dislike for smaller resolutions (well, or a smaller pixel density)? yes, and the monitor model could be more precisely specified)
// and a little sarcasm.
And you know, I have one knife, and the second one is almost as big, but a large knife cuts the skins of tomatoes worse. Although it seems to have a comfortable wooden handle, I store it in a special stand.
well, DVI or HDMI does not matter here.

Something tells me that the maximum supported resolution is 1920x1080 for example, and 2880 x 1800 is set to Apple MacBook Pro with Retina.
Set the external monitor to a normal resolution (Full HD - resolution 1920 × 1080 pixels) and enjoy a clear picture :)
