Why are projects uploaded from github to netlify, heroku and others?

Why do they not use github pages for many projects, but send them to netlify and others, I can’t understand the benefits, and all comparisons are extremely blurry?

On heroku and others like them, projects with a server side or programs indirectly related to the web are usually uploaded. For example, I have a site on Django (python framework) and a discord bot hanging from my diploma.
Github pages, on the other hand, is intended for "static" sites - one-page \ landing pages \ consisting of a couple of pages, with a small amount of JS.
