Why are landing pages hosted on a separate domain?

After all, if you place a landing page on the domain of the main site, will search engines take traffic into account and thereby raise the site in the search results?

At Starbucks , we make separate domains because most often our landing page is a separate application. And no one worries about optimization for search engines.

Landings are placed on separate pages, since it is stupid to register a domain for one page. And if you make a list of landing pages on one domain that you can go to, then this is additional traffic for such pages.
Plus, this is a plus for companies that order such pages (cheaper).

Risiki I understand these pluses, I don't understand just why people create separate domains for this. and many do just that.

I don’t know how about a separate domain, but they place it on a subdomain so that it is more convenient to analyze the metrics.
