Why are files hidden on a Mac in Skype?

Either the cant, or the settings are not the same, but in Skype I click send the file, the explorer opens, but there it is empty in all folders. What is it and how to fix it?

I don't know for sure, but I have a guess. For convenience, it hides the received files. And if you click on the magnifying glass - makes visible.
