Why are changes to the success.php file not being applied, where else can it be cached?

me I wanted to expand the logic a little after sending the order.
As I understand it, this is done in the /catalog/controller/checkout/success.php file. I

make changes - but they are not displayed anywhere. Even if you delete the entire contents of the file, it does not react. The system starts to notice only if the file itself is deleted/renamed.

The cache files from the /system/storage/cache folder have already been deleted several times.

Where else can the cache sit?
