Why are Android apps updated so often?

Many popular Android apps (on Google Play) are updated very frequently. New versions of Booking.com, AirBnB, Adobe Reader, Google+, YouTube and much more are downloaded regularly. As a person who is used to using mostly classic desktops / laptops, even a lincusoid who is used to apt-get update, etc. (This point is worth mentioning because Windows users often just don't update applications at all due to the lack of a convenient centralized tool for this and live with old versions on the principle of "why touch what works?") this seems a little strange. Are there really so many bugs that need to be fixed so regularly?

You don't compare an actively developing product with an open-source utility that 2.5 developers saw in their free time, without a special development plan. For example, IDEs from Jetbrains are also updated every few weeks at least. Booking, AirBnB, Adobe and other companies have full-time android developers who have a development plan for several months in advance. Also in these plans are optimizations, fixing bugs, supporting old and new versions of systems and devices, adding A / B tests, updating design and animations, and all this in general, so that you would be pleasant and convenient to use the application.
If the application is frequently updated, it means that it is being developed and improved, and what it is exactly: bugs or new features is essentially not important. If you feel sorry for the traffic, then you can turn off automatic updates for certain applications.

You downloaded an application, let's say a game, played it, ... and forgot about its existence ... updating is one of the ways to remind you of your existence .. you will see what has been updated, run it and maybe start using it again :)))

Maybe they just built new ads into the app? Well, yes, you can not allow simple curvature.
