Why are activation emails not being sent?

Installed WordPress, installed and configured the BuddyPress plugin. The user tries to register, fills out the form, presses the button - he sees an inscription that now he will receive a letter to the mailbox he specified to activate the account, but the letter does not arrive. Checked different mail. servers, spam folders, and so on - this is not the point, for some reason activation letters are simply not sent, and as a result, users cannot complete registration. Feedback works fine. Domain mail, Contact Form 7 configured Where to dig?

Good afternoon.
Well first, have your developer check the php mail function as well as wp_mail. If they don't work, then that's the reason.
Then let your developer try to set up SMTP mail forwarding. (WP Mail SMTP plugin).
