Why after installing nvm and node wsl resets all installations?

Install according to this manual https://github.com/nodejs/node#download nvm. We enter in the console nvm. Everything is working. But if you open wsl in one more tab, then the command is no longer recognized there. Or else, just close and open the window with wsl, the command is not recognized either. It's like he didn't do anything before. Tell me, I have no strength, I don’t understand how this happens.

In short, I demolished wsl debian and reinstalled it - it helped. Everything worked. I still wanted to reinstall. But this is clearly not a solution if you do not want to demolish everything.
