They asked for a scan of the passport - of course I was surprised, but not so much as to suspect something - this happens with hosters. I sent them this scan, and in return I received something even more amazing:

I've been keeping a virtual machine with them for about 2 years now. They also asked for a scan of the passport and maps, - I put a watermark like “For hetzner.de” and sent it. In general, everything seems to be normal with them in this regard.
Once they threw a letter that the type of credit card was blocked (he blocked it because of the loss), they warned that they would turn it off. I wrote back that everything will be fine, I will report new data soon. We waited about a week until the card was restored. Nothing was blocked or disabled.
