Who to trust: Photoshop or Illustrator?

There is a project layout in .ai.
Under the layout, an artboard is selected - 1024px.

The layout was exported to .psd. I open it in Photoshop, everything is 2 times larger. The width is about 2034px, the font elements are correspondingly larger.

Question: what size to take? Who makes up .ai layouts, tell me. please.

When importing into Photoshop, then keep track of the resolution, which is Resolution.
