The best way to protect yourself is not to spread it on the Internet.
No way. If the video is on the screen, then there are already a lot of ways to copy it.
No way.
Here's a task for you - I play the video with a legal player installed in the virtual machine. And at the same time, in the host machine, I launched a screen grabber program that writes the screen area - and the virtual machine that reproduces the stream naturally knows nothing about it.
This is of course a hardcore option, but once I applied it - rob a video from one old toy (sample of 2000)
Such protections are always a set of measures to reduce copying
They require a lot of money and are rarely effective
- steganography and watermarks are unique for each user
- verification of the content recipient
- tracking system for torrent trackers and just sites
- hardware systems for TV
- ...
In addition - now there is a huge struggle for attention and time
Any decision of yours that will create inconvenience for the user automatically means that your user will go to other content producers in two clicks
Even your suspicion that the user copied something and gave it to someone can throw on the fan and everyone will leave you
it is unlikely that you have a unique video worth millions of rubles / dollars. so do not worry, they will copy, but you update the video with new features, update the material and do everything to make your material more valuable than pirated,
but in general I offer an expensive way:
1. enter into an agreement with the listener with obligations.
2. legally protect the video (legally secure your copyright)
3. add invisible tags to each listener's video to uniquely identify the listener.
4. If some listener behaves like a pirate and puts it on the Internet, you can file a lawsuit. the main thing here is legal force (competent specialists are needed). (after notifying the pirate for an amicable closure of the case)
5. on all video hostings and distributions, you demand to remove your material. Roskomnadzor will help.
6. but even that won't help, then at least reimburse part of the money for the development of the video and lawyers.
There are DRM technologies to protect content from copying (each browser has its own if it is the web that is needed), but they require 'reliable' user devices, i.e. from relevant applications on the machine to hardware support. As far as I remember, the hdmi connection to the monitor even contains the corresponding features, but it has long been hacked. On the other hand, in order to copy DRM video, you need at least equipment, although not very expensive, but at least slightly restricts piracy.
Users do not like DRM devices because they severely limit the possibilities, neither to choose a player, nor to watch a DRM-free movie, etc. therefore, the adoption of these technologies is severely limited. For example, apple devices can do this, just as Google offers some mechanisms for buying and viewing protected content on android devices ... almost certainly in these cases you, as a distributor, will have to unfasten a decent chunk of your income.
And it's good that such technologies are not uncontested! Because even with a meager toolkit, copyright holders screw up both content producers and consumers in every way, and what will happen when there are no options left?
Oh my god, not a single right answer. Now this is done much easier.
For cinemas, certain labels "broken pixels" are added. They are not visible to the eye and scorch even if filmed through the camera. The recording can then be run through special equipment and the legitimacy of the video can be verified. The tags are unique and you can find out exactly from which cinema the leak occurred.
Unfortunately, the technology is paid and I can’t say about the prices. In a digital way, a similar method is added to the video track with additional information to check the legitimacy of the video.
Much to our regret, this technology is not available to mere mortals because of the high cost. It's still a service industry.
I have an idea "for the homeless". If you are sure that there will be no substitution of the sound track, then you can add your copyright information at certain frequencies of sounds that are barely audible to humans.
How to Move Secret Message . The uniqueness of the technology lies in the fact that everything is clearly visible on the spectrogram.
Place transparent text with your nickname on the half of the screen XD
