There will be problems with Python when it starts compiling an exe file if it has a GUI, and java was invented for cross-platform, so I would advise it.

Why has no one recommended the Go language? Now graphic libraries are being created for it ( https://github.com/niemeyer/qml ), the language is very small and very powerful, fast compilation, static linking, support for many architectures, compilation for any platform.
