Who faced with the administration of the workstation of the Lectra clothing designer?
I ask for the help of administrators of sewing production, because. I can not deal with the licensing and restoration of this complex.
The situation is this: there is quite an ancient Lectra clothing design complex, consisting of:
2 PCs under WinXP: RM constructor and print server;
alys plotter and digitizer
2 RS232 keys
Programs: Modaris V4.2, DiaminoFashion V5R1, JustPrint V2R1, AlysPilot V2R1.
Problems with Modaris - almost all menu functions are not available in it (it is impossible to select gray), as I understand it, this is due to the fact that the program does not see the license.
In Diamino, when selecting or saving a layout, a communication error with Modaris pops up.
Both RS232 keys are visible in the L-Manager program, in the same place, when running programs, you can see that they are connected to these keys, perhaps something else needs to be configured there.
The problems, as the designers say, began even before I came to this organization with the fact that the motherboard was screwed up on the designer's RM, the previous admin slipped the motherboard from the backup computer, but Modaris did not start on it. Now, already to me, after 3 months. they finally returned their native motherboard from the repair, but with it the same picture "almost all menu functions are not available (it is impossible to select gray)", i.e. the return of the iron did not help, although in L-Manager there was something about tracking the MAC address and system ID.
Who administered these complexes and can tell you how everything is arranged there, otherwise, due to the narrow specialization, neither Google nor Yandex have heard about this system, and the documentation for this part was either missing or long lost.

What answer do you want? Computers are the same everywhere, software is different. Specifically, yours is narrowly focused. And he has a manufacturer. Questions are better to ask him.
It is possible that the fact is that the keys were tied in the form of a certain function to the hardware and the operating system that was originally installed and you need to ask the manufacturer to help with the reactivation of previously purchased keys or send documentation on the old version where this procedure is described.
There are several videos on youtobe.com that describe how to activate RS232 keys for Lectra Modaris.
