Who downloads my npm package?

I created a package for myself, registered it on npmjs.com, and a day later I saw that downloads = 187. How can this be?
The package is made for myself, that is, the readme is useless. To use the package, you need to know how to configure it, and it is also unlikely that you will be able to understand the purpose.
Does this happen to everyone?

I have a similar thing that I noticed: when publishing new versions, this is repeated, and if you do not publish for 1-2 days, then there is a moderate amount of downloads. I think that people using packages use automated testing and when publishing new versions of dependencies, they start testing on a new one. In this way, sometimes I have up to 2-3 thousand downloads per day.

Maybe you have some kind of script during assembly that makes nmp install automatic?)
