Which VPN protocol to choose between DDNS linux and dynamic ip Mikrotik?

Good afternoon!
There is a server on ubuntu 14.04, with a dynamic white IP and an updated DNS record in dyndns.org.
There is a mikrotik soho router with a dynamic white IP (DNS can also be screwed, but is it necessary?).
There is a task to unite two networks behind these devices. What protocol is appropriate in this configuration, the most versatile and will be easier to scale?
What problems did I encounter:

  • Ipsec needs static addresses or script crutches.
  • PPTP seems to be a little outdated and not completely secure.
  • OpenVPN is not well implemented in RouterOS.

Of course, it’s better to get confused with openvpn, even if it is implemented in Mikrotik with a crutch, but it will be configured once. Reliable, simple, safe. Plus, if you start on port 443 (and not even on 443, but suddenly everything is generally bad), all these DPIs from your provider will not be able to distinguish from ordinary SSL traffic and will not be weird.
And in pptp there is such a hole that allows you to decrypt traffic almost in real time, you can read about how on the Internet.

Mikrotik has its own free built-in DDNS called Cloud, it turns on with a click and works like clockwork.
VPN without a static IP is also very easy. Here is the direct manual , only in your case someone will have a client or server under ubuntu.

Is L2TP or SSTP out of fashion these days?
