Which vds hosting to choose?

Hello. Recommend vds hosting. I have never used this before, I had experience using shared hosting. I just want to raise a test site, walk the path from a bare virtual machine to the deployment of a working project on my own.
What are the pitfalls? For a really average project, which hosting is preferable, domestic or is it better to choose a foreign one, taking into account current trends in Russian legislation?

To get started, ArubaCloud VPS is enough for €1 per month.
For a really average project, you don’t need a VPS, unless of course the project is written in something specific that won’t get up on a shared.

Take domestic. Lower ping = higher speed.

I advise you to try ihc ( https://www.ihc.ru/vps.html#20). I myself have been using it for about 5 years, nothing has ever fallen or broken, plus the prices are adequate.

What are the pitfalls?

If you have not used it before, then all VDS hosting is like one big pitfall for you. Or take in an armful of someone who has already worked with this or look for a hoster with good support or pay for the services of an appropriate specialist. If you just need to train, then you can train without buying on VirtualBOX.
