College? Do they go to universities after college?
There are no such directions, at least I have not heard of them. Somewhere they will simply affect the web, you need to ask students and look at curricula. Because a university is, first of all, a fundamental education.
If you want to learn how to write websites - go write websites.
I can advise ITMO in St. Petersburg.
They even have cool advertising :)
PS: A university is not a waste of time and not an empty occupation. And the experience gained in it is also very valuable, and how many opportunities open up during your studies.
In any case, the advantages of having a higher education are more than the disadvantages. As in this country, and any other.
For web development, you need (to fit) any IT specialty focused on programming, the Internet, networks, etc. In these universities (of which there are enough), in these specialties there are everywhere subjects related to the web, the Internet. And the tower is needed (to be useful to you) firstly for solidity, and secondly, all the same, the institute will lay down a knowledge base, basic programming concepts, algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and the entire theoretical base, not to mention mathematics. It's just that in the future you will think systematically and more rationally search and be able to search for information. And learn the web in the process of everything, you can even master it in parallel with your studies. There will be a comprehensive development of the skill, as a result of which (if you can graduate from the university) you will be a good specialist. By the way, at the university, you can also do a diploma or labs in web development, everything will be a plus. Well, new friends, communication, acquaintances, ideas. And be sure to work on yourself. In institutes, they don’t give much or they give superficially, not to mention all sorts of new frameworks and styles ... Master it yourself and you will be a cool specialist!
