Which system to choose for learning how to put patterns into practice with good architecture and code (PHP)?

Hello!
I want to see how and where PHP programming patterns are applied in practice.
It is desirable that it be some kind of common open source cms, it is better for e-commerce, so that there is an opportunity not only to learn, but also to try real live projects to watch and do on it.
What to choose?
Thank you!
PS frameworks are fine too, but cms is preferable
