tls encryption is the same when using paid and / or free ones.
However, there is an opinion (marketing, where would it be without it) that there is more trust in paid customers, especially if a label from such a supplier hangs on the site. There are quite inexpensive wildcards - you can take them. But this does not guarantee anything, for example

We would recommend a certificate with OV company verification (if you have a company or individual entrepreneur). You have a Wildcard certificate type with support for protecting an unlimited number of subdomains. Place a dynamic seal of protection on the site, pointing at which you can see verified data about the company / individual entrepreneur. In any case, you will have not only encryption, but also a signature on the site. If there is no legal entity, then DV certificate. From paid Certification Authorities, for example, in our emaro-ssl Sectigo certificate costs 6,990 rubles for one year, or Letsencrypt.
In general, any audit of a domain-site still increases trust. Of course, not every visitor understands this, but still, if you correctly provide information about the passed check, there will be a plus.
