Which SSD to choose for Ubuntu Server?

Hello! I'm not too versed in hardware and especially in the "features" of ssd and, in principle, hard drives, so I'm writing here.
You need to replace the old HDD on a laptop running ubuntu server 16.04 with a fast hard drive. The choice fell on the SSD.
The budget is up to 5500r, and the amount of memory is not so important (256 is enough, in principle), so I chose several disks, links to which I will attach below.
The question is what is better to choose for a not so new laptop (it's around 2013-14) in order for the write / read speed to be better than what we have now.
On the Internet, I found a guide on how to find out the SATA version.
sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sda
This is what the output command gives me :

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 16790 MB in 1.99 seconds = 8416.53 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 288 MB in 3.02 seconds = 95.52 MB/sec

I don’t know how good or bad it is, so the question is whether it is reasonable to buy an SSD? Or can choose a normal HDD for the same money? Or you can buy an ssd and use it as an external usb 3.0 drive and transfer the necessary files to it that require quick reading, so to speak.
In general, I consider all use cases. Starting from an external SSD and ending with a new conventional HDD. But honestly, I don't know what is better to choose.
From what I found acceptable to me. market.
https://market.yandex.ru/product/1732668548 - Intel - I just know as a brand. I saw a photo with a bunch of ssd intels from one system administrator in VK and thought that it was normal
https://market.yandex.ru/product/1969039126- Samsung - now the laptop just has a Samsung HDD for 1tb, but its speeds are not high
https://market.yandex.ru/product/1964169249?show-u... - WD - I liked the price. for 4000 they offer almost the same volume as Samsung and Intel for 5500. but how long will it serve me "faithfully"?
https://market.yandex.ru/product/1722737452?show-u... - Kingston - for the same reason as WD
If you prefer one of the SSDs, can you please describe why? Still, I wonder why, for example, WD, and not Intel. Or vice versa.
Thanks in advance for your reply and sorry for wasting your time!

  • In this particular case, any inexpensive SSD from a well-known manufacturer will do.
  • The SATA version is not important and does not affect anything.

Depends on the tasks, if the speed of the OS is not important, but you need a lot of storage space, then it would be wiser to take an HDD.

Briefly here you will not say, long to explain.
Intel - stable quality.
Samsung is a leader in the SSD space.
WD is a large company and there will definitely not be a complete slag, but in terms of SSD, the company is a novice, and you should not expect something stable from it.
Kingston - cheap, stable.
I would choose Kingston - it is far from the best, but in this situation it is the most optimal.
