Which SSD to choose for MacBook Pro 13 (Mid 2014)?

Part 1 of my OS X + NFS adventures on a VPS - does anyone use it? with increasing storage size.
I decided to replace the SSD in the subject, but as it turned out, there is a slot for the disk. There is no clear answer on the Internet that you can still put it in it. It is clear that there is a different connector, but it is not known what kind of bus there is with what bandwidth and whether there is any protection against non-native SSDs. I found just such a stray that allows you to install your SSD, but from the reviews, only one person’s message that his OS began to freeze. There are also a huge number of adapters on Amazon, and of course there are no guarantees that it will work. Accordingly, the question arose - “Does anyone use an M.2 SSD with an adapter in their MacBook Pro 2013-2015?”.
Well, a list of options on how to increase memory. I ask for help in choosing and I would like to hear real feedback from those who changed the SSD in their laptop.
1. Native SSD from Apple. (extremely expensive, but 100% will work).
2. SSD from OWC (expensive, it is likely that everything will be OK)
3. Adapter + compatible SSD (best for the price, but it is not known how it will work)
4. JetDrive Lite 330 (expensive and low speed, 100% performance, but it is not known how long it will last)
5. More options?
