Which software DVR to choose for continuous recording and viewing of motion events from an ip camera?
Good afternoon! There is a hiwatch dc-i200 camera. Stands in the country, connected via vpn to a home server with iVMS-4200 Storage Server installed, the channel allows.
There is a problem: iVMS-4200 Storage Server allows you to write either by motion detection (I'm afraid to miss something), or everything in a row (then Motion Detection tags are not supported, and I can't understand where the motion was, the client writes "Not supported by device" , as I understand it does not support Storage Server). And I want to write everything in a continuous stream and get the opportunity to see where the movement was. It is advisable to do this without additional devices, only with the help of a server. I know that there is a large number of both paid and free software in addition to iVMS-4200, tell me who came across, where to dig.

Don't be afraid, with properly configured detection, you won't miss anything. I mean people. Well, specify a larger pre-record and post-record buffer, that's all ... for example, 1 minute ...
When constantly recording, of course, the movement is not analyzed, it's just not necessary, you constantly write)))
Try these servers, maybe something will do ... But I would leave iVMS and not take a steam bath. If someone breaks into the site or burns it, you will still see it. and for the other - just once again pull the detection ... the dog ran, the trees moved, etc.
