Which smtp server to choose local or remote, for example yandex?
Good afternoon.
I compare sending letters and sending mailing lists via local SMTP and remote, let's take smtp.yandex.ru as a basis.
Haven't found a significant difference yet.
To send via yandex, you need to configure the smtp server, in the case of exim, I had to rebuild it from the source to support tls transport. This is a kind of crap compared to local shipping.
However, for local sending, it is necessary to open the ip address in the spf record, which is not always safe, and configure the dkmi record, which is also some kind of fuss that yandex can do for us.
Maybe there are some restrictions on the number or frequency of outgoing in both approaches? Are there any other differences between the approaches? Perhaps with the Yandex server spam bots mail passes better or vice versa?
