Which SMS gateway with API to choose?

There was a need to send transactional SMS. I used to use SMSC.RU before and there were no problems, now they started having problems - either "we do not guarantee delivery until you switch to a more expensive tariff" (ok, okay, we switched), then (after a significant break) - "you need conclude contracts with each operator, and pay monthly overdose of money for the sender's name (and without it we do not guarantee delivery)"... We went to NEXMO, everything was fine there, but regular or wild delays in SMS delivery (30 seconds is normal), or do not reach at all. Zadolbalo. Are there still normal gateways? Or is it easier to plug a modem into a nettop?

All gateways with guaranteed fast delivery require a contract and have high rates - these are the conditions of the big four FPSOs. Cheaper / without a contract - seryak at your own peril and risk.
