Which smart watch should you choose?

Good time.
Interested in advice on choosing a smart watch with a heart rate monitor for the next task.
In a weekend project, I would like to implement an application for a watch/smartphone that monitors a person’s condition through the watch and performs certain actions depending on the indicators of the sensors.
Which clock do you think is more suitable for the task at hand? Interested in both premium models and something in the price / quality ratio. Especially interesting is the experience of wearing these devices and those who wrote applications for them.

What kind of sensors are you interested in? Just a heart rate monitor?
As a variant of Mi band 2. I myself wear such, there are a lot of applications for it, and it’s not a problem to write something of your own with proper skill. But I have not seen a public API. Therefore, most likely, you will have to reverse the official Mi Fit application.
