Which server to choose for 1s 7.7?
Good afternoon. I understand that 1c7.7 in conjunction with sql is still a crutch, we will not switch to 8k yet. But still. We are updating our hardware: now i5-2500, 24GB non-ecc, 2x raid 1 sata3. Approximately 50 terminal users work. Every outlook has a browser and a couple of documents open.
I would like 6-8 cores with HT, maybe I will put the second stone later
Now I will put the existing RAM and disks, then we will switch to ecc memory
I would like a normal hardware raid controller to make 3-4 mirrors from sata hdd and put another ssd next to
it , the presence of good cooling of iron is critical.
Budget around $3-4k. If new memory also fits into the budget, then we will take it.

It is better to assemble a second server and spread SQL and 1C to different servers. Under SQL assemble on Xeon, the more cores - the better, with the same RAM. My SQL for 8.2 is now working on E3-1230v2, 16 GB (for now, we will install 32), RS2BL400 controller and 4 HITACHI HUS156030VLS600 in RAID10; on terminal 2 Xeon 5645 and 32 GB, without RAID, up to 60 users.
