Which removable hard drive to choose?

I want to buy a removable screw for home (to store movies, games, photos, etc.). I think for these purposes it makes no sense to take an SSD, because. expensive (the budget is still not rubber), but there is no special sense, because vryatli so often I will use it (for example, I put films there and sometimes you look). In size, I think 1 or 2 TB (depending on the price). For the price, I think within 10k at least meet. I want a quality item. Please advise something.

If 2.5 disk - no more than 1 TB. In small disks, the volume of the pancake is 500 GB. For 2 TB, you need either 4 pancakes or a high density, in both cases there is a higher chance of breakage. I recommend a two-pancake terabyte.
You can purchase a 2.5" sata drive separately, and buy a USB-SATA case for it, it can be cheaper and there won't be a "pig in a poke", you can choose the parameters of the drive yourself. On aliexpress, I took such a case for 450 rubles with delivery from Russia, in 4 days delivered by courier.
There are only three manufacturers left, but there are more brands.
- Western Digital - in the middle in terms of price and quality, there are options to choose from in terms of speed, there is encryption (implemented on a usb-sata adapter, the disk itself does not encrypt). buy these.I met 2TB with a faulty block of heads, I saw an unreadable 500GB with a bunch of bad sectors.
- HGST - former hitachi branded WD. The quality is above average, but more demanding on nutrition. For example, if there is not enough current via USB, it starts clicking loudly continuously. I have owned this for 4 years, the flight is normal. Haven't seen any crashes.
- Toshiba (MK / MQ series) - the quality is approximately at the hitachi level, at the moment I would take them if I wanted quality and for a long time. I met one disk that was no longer readable in a horizontal position, but
worked vertically , the quality is average, 1tb has been in my beech for two years, I'm not complaining. I finished the external similar one, possibly by falls)
- Seagate (which is Seagate) - the largest number of complaints and breakdowns. Huh, I wouldn't recommend it. On 3.5 disks there was an article on Habré, where 2TB disks fell on their own due to the incorrect design of the case.

@opium

It’s stupid to talk about some kind of quality in the context of one screw, it’s 50 to 50
Either it breaks or not
Take any guarantee there it will break for two years just change it

Quite recently, I already answered a similar question here - it's best to take a box + laptop HDD. And why - read the link. As for the quality - in my practice there were no complaints about Chinese boxes, and you can choose any available disc (you can also take an expensive one).
For the price - in this option, fit in a significantly smaller amount than your 10k.

Please advise something.
Please - choose not by manufacturer, but by "NAS line".
