Which programming language should I choose in my cases?

I am a first-year student at the university in the direction of Information Security. At the university they teach us only the C++ language, I have no desire to learn it, I don't like it. At the moment I'm learning PHP + MySQL, and I like it, working with the server and databases, PHP and MySQL give me pleasure from my creations. I live in Kyrgyzstan. You need to choose another good programming language that is in demand. I like working with websites more. Creating games and software is not mine.

Such a specialty, but you are attracted to PHP pff .... Learn C ++ once you are studying, this is a serious language and this is a program, and already PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript are optional by interest, in your free time. You have the first year, while you complete your studies, your opinions, desires and desires will change 300 times, no matter how you later regret it.

If you want to write websites - why did you choose this specialty? Surely you are occupying someone else's place there - someone wanted exactly IB and "pluses", but did not pass by points.
Nevertheless, you still learn C++ and everything else that they teach you there. It is very likely that by the 5th year you will change your mind if you complete your studies.
And if you feel really sick, completely unbearable - leave your university and replenish the already huge army of PHP coders.

A very large layer of information security is tied to fairly low-level programming, because it is at a low level that security systems are overcome.
Therefore, if you want to continue studying in the chosen direction, learn the pros.
You can also defend your thesis with PHP, if you formulate the topic correctly, but some subjects can only be understood if you know C / C ++ / assembler.

Start with Ruby or Python and then PHP as a must.

Look towards D. C++ didn't work for me either. But D really liked it.
ddili.org/ders/d.en/index.html is a great tutorial.
