Which plugin to choose for Thunderbird?

Thunderbird stores emails from clients in the Clients folder. A subfolder has been created for each client. Active correspondence is usually no more than six months.

I would like to make sure that folders with letters no older than six months are displayed in the Clients folder. And the rest of the subfolders would be hidden with the possibility of quick disclosure.

Something like gmail.

We have IMAP. I really do not want any changes to occur on the server side. There are a lot of letters (including with attachments), and the server is quite heavily loaded.

Those. I would like to find a client that works locally, changes only the UI of the program.

You can try to find the necessary letters through the "Search for messages ..." and save the search results as a virtual folder (at least it works with local letters).

Judging by the title, you have already chosen the mail client.
As for Thunderbird, you can do without extensions, using appropriately configured filters that would copy messages to the desired local (namely, local, so as not to produce them on the server and take off the load from it) folder. In this case, you should have a local storage of correspondence.
