Which PHP framework to choose, preferably a simple one and always a domestic author(s)?
For a course project, you need to choose a small open source framework, a minimum of documentation, and always a domestic one. Perhaps if the author is from the Russian Federation, but emigrated. The project is in js, but the backend is PHP.

Here is the framework for you https://github.com/phphleb/hleb
the author is marked as from St. Petersburg. If it doesn’t work, look in the github in Cyrillic.

Anton Shevchuk spoke with him a lot, but for a serious project he is very old
try to write yours. at least the frame. just the level of coursework
Bitrix. You can figure out the key "why the domestic is so shitty."
A rational choice of a framework is the popularity of its use, this guarantees a large community with the ability to solve quickly emerging issues, find a developer at an adequate price, change it to another if things don’t go well.
Popular frameworks are evolving rapidly, updates are constantly being released and modules are being developed that can be taken and used immediately.
Binding to a domestic developer is a guarantee of problems in the future!
If you need problems without them, start with domestic PHP.
