Which php framework to choose for simple and medium projects?

Recommend a framework that will be relevant in the near future for both developers and employers. Now I'm working with a cake, but it's not attractive. I keep my personal projects on the kohan. I would have stayed on it, but unfortunately the support of the framework has died and more and more often I have to invent crutches.
I tend to Yii, now version 2 is on the nose. What frameworks do you use in your projects and why?

yii is deprecated... that's all. this same "version 2 on the nose" for 2 years, but what's the point? There is no roadmap, the community is weak (on average in terms of level), there are not many high-quality extensions, you can’t just use individual libraries (well, how ... you can, but with your own stray) ... During this time, Silex / symfony2 managed to come out, moreover symfony already has version 2.4, a huge community and a lot of libraries and tools that make life easier.
For small and medium projects, it is worth looking towards Silex microframeworks. It expands well, so the fact that it is micro will not hurt you.

Looking at what kind of projects. If we allow to make sites of small and medium complexity, I would probably lean towards Yii2. If you want to master a universal tool for all occasions, then I would prefer Symfony2.
And so, by the will of fate, I am now working with the onPHP fork. I like it, a very powerful and flexible framework, but it is hardly suitable for quickly creating sites from scratch, unless you make some kind of common base yourself. That is, it is closer to Symfony than to Yii, but I am not making a website either.

Symfony 2 or Laravel 4. The former is more flexible. The second one has a lower entry threshold and is essentially based on the tools of the first one.
