Which PC platform to choose: Intel i7 or AMD FX

I want to buy a desktop computer instead of a laptop so that I can keep 50 tabs open at the same time, IDE, web server, various instant messengers, a player, a graphics editor, and also periodically play AAA toys without brakes.
Of the rest of the kits, there is an AMD 7950 video card, i.e. the built-in video is useless, and the PSU is 1kW, so I don't care about power consumption.
Arguments in favor of Intel?
Arguments in favor of AMD?
The budget is the same anyway.

The budget has not been announced. But, given the presence of a full-fledged video card (when compared with analogues for the same money): Intel (i5 4440): - Integrated video core (overpayment for unused video) - Less cache (minus multitasking) - Maximum RAM frequency - 1600 MHz - Maximum 32 GB memory (this is if you take it for the long term) + Less heat dissipation - 85W + 22nm, Haswell AMD (FX 8350): + Unlocked multiplier + More cache, which has a positive effect on multitasking + Large maximum RAM frequencies - 1866 MHz + maximum volume RAM 128 GB (this is if you take it for the long term) - More heat dissipation 125W - 32nm

If we compare in terms of average performance, then the FX-8350 is comparable to the i7, and the i7 costs 10-11k, while the FX-8350 costs 6300r - then, taking into account the price, AMD definitely wins here. So I recommend choosing an AMD FX-8350 and at least 16 gigs of 1600/1866 MHz memory (4x4 or 2x8). If you have money and need (for example, a bunch of virtual machines and a dozen browsers), you can, of course, immediately take 32 gigabytes. Mother on some 970-990 chipset and SSD something like Intel 530 for any volume you like. And if half a gigabyte of speed and / or volume is not enough, then it is better to immediately take something like PCI-E RevoDrive 3 X2 - this line gives out one and a half gigabytes of speed and 240/480/960 GB in volume.

Interesting budget. And so, judging by the designated tasks, Intel will go, starting with core i5. Better i7

On the plus side:

Power consumption (which you don't care about)

Built-in video card (also not there)

Pci-e gen3 - but it's not very useful.

In the cons:

A suitable PSU is desirable for Hasswell Generation Intel.

Of course, AMD will do. You can take Fx83**. Or maybe Fx9590

If there are no special problems with 83**, then in the case of 9590:

In 1x you need a special mother. Top. Flashed with the correct bios.

In 2x - CBO is desirable. Seidon 240 type.

In 3x - as I understand it, you have your own case, you will need to see if it will be possible to push 240mm dropsy or top air into it.

In general, there are nuances that the i7 4770 and FX 83 do not have **

But the performance will certainly be higher.

To which the soul lies closer. Look at the technologies that candidates support, which one might be the deciding factor. Plus, as you decide on the candidates, look for a comparison. I would take AMD, all the same, the price is much lower

Rather, the question is not in Intel vs. AMD, but how much memory and what kind of SSD drives are needed for such tasks.

For the voiced tasks, I think any 2-4 core modern CPU is enough. If you have money, then you need to take something like xeon 1230V3 or 1240V3 + 16GB + ssd + 2-4TB HDD. If you want to save a hundred dollars, then take AMD 8320.

Take Intel, there the price tag is closer to the people, and the heat dissipation with cotton is small

AMD costs less, Intel consumes less energy with the same performance, so a simpler cooling system will be needed, because the TDP will be lower.
