Which OSX to choose for application development?

Hello! I've only recently become interested in developing applications for idevices, since I own an iphone 5s. I wanted to write 1-2 applications for myself and others, but as always I ran into obstacles, as is typical of any novice programmer.
1. I don't have a macbook :D
2. I don't know which OSX is better to install.
PS: I installed OSX Snow Leopard and just Leopard on a virtual machine, but there is no XCode there.

Actually, there are no alternatives now, because in the requirements for the latest xcode it is written in black and white:
"Compatibility: OS X 10.10 or later"

Do not force yourself or mac os. Buy a poppy, (mac mini will do). And the most interesting thing, you really couldn’t find the right application in the dump of ready-made ones?)
