Which OS to choose for web hosting and routing?
Task: Put the OS on the server that will be the web hosting and router.
1. Router for distributing the Internet to the local network.
2. Web hosting. Which web server to choose: Apache or Nginx for a site on Wordpress and Ruby on Rails?
To solve the problem, I looked towards Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS and Zentyal Server.
An option to install Ubuntu Server 14.04 and then on top of Zentyal, or Zentyal Server as a separate distribution?
Perhaps someone will have other options on how to organize it all?

I advise you to find an admin who will do everything better. With your question, you need to get a lot of skills to solve this problem.
Windows? ))
Sorry for the sarcasm, but installing a distribution router on top of the usual one will not bring anything good. The router must be kept either separately physically or in a virtual machine, or one OS must be configured for both. In principle, there is nothing complicated to combine a Website and routing. How to do this and what configs you need to touch is another voluminous question.
debian + ispconfig actually there with a margin for web hosting everything
Zental is there .. well, everyone needs a firewall for someone who doesn’t have a completely understandable idea why it is needed on a web server.
