Which OS to choose for VPS/VDS?

I want to buy VPS on digitalocean. Which OS to choose for the server and what are the differences and +/-.
Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, CoreOS, CentOS

Ubuntu-Debian - debian family
Fedora-CentOS-RedHat - redhat family
CoreOS - container family, in any case you will have to install someone from the previous families on it
If you have no experience, then it is better to choose one family and study
it "convenience", "speed" of each of the families is impossible in any case.

if you are setting up a server for the first time, debian or ubuntu is better, it's simply simpler.
