Which operating system is suitable for Samsung r20 plus laptop?

Hello, I would venture to ask for advice and I hope that my question will still be passed, although it does not fully comply with the rules of the resource, since there are a lot of tips on this topic on the Internet, namely: what operating system can be installed on an old and weak laptop so that it continued to work in a volume sufficient for an unassuming user.
Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about this whole software kitchen (I know what an operating system is and I can name a couple more besides Windows, that’s all), so even after reading three articles with tips, the question remains:
1. these tips are applicable for my laptop (maybe it's TOO old?)
2. If I install non-Windows, will I be able to do what I need on this laptop?
The initial data is as follows:
Notebook Samsung r20 plus (well, very thoughtful)
Specifications (copied from the site of some computer equipment store, I hope they are true):
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T2250 1.73GHz
Chipset: ATI Xpress 1250 (ATI RS600ME + SB600) with 533MHz FSB
RAM: 1GB PC4200 533MHz DDR2 RAM (2 x 512MB)
Hard drive: 160GB 5400RPM SATA HD (Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 = Travelstar 5K160)
Operating system: Windows Vista
What I want from it first of all:
1. To run iTunes
2. To crawl on the web (ideally - but not necessarily - using some familiar browser: Opera, Firefox, chrome) in search of answers to various everyday questions.
3. Watch online movies
4. To be able to install programs to print texts and edit them; open archived (zip, rar) files and formats pdf, tiff, djvu; mp3 player
5. Install some small free antivirus and garbage cleaner.
6. Some kind of reasonable speed. In order not to wait 30 seconds after each command.
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate your help.

WinXP - all the same, 1 gig for Win7, Win8.1, Win10 and all sorts of Linuxes like Ubuntu18 is not enough.
