Which of the two directions to choose in Python if both are interesting?

Interested in artificial intelligence and data analysis, are these 2 different areas (different libraries) in python that need to be studied separately to become a good specialist? Or one without the other in this area will not work? I'm just afraid, as the proverb says, to chase two hares...

I'm afraid, as the proverb says, to chase two hares...

Here's another proverb for you:
Any person should be able to change diapers, plan invasions, butcher pigs, construct buildings, navigate ships, write sonnets, keep accounts, build walls, set bones, ease death, follow orders, give orders, cooperate, act independently, solve equations, analyze new problems, to fertilize, to program computers, to cook well, to fight well, to die with dignity. Specialization is for insects.

To become a good specialist, you don't need to hang around like a Buridan donkey on the Toaster, but try and gain experience. Like AI - try it. If you like analytics, try it too. Diligently choosing what NOT to do, you definitely will not become a specialist.

Do you think that there are people sitting here who know you so well that they can decide your future for you?
take and study both directions until you understand which one is closer or better

Both areas need to be explored.
