Which of the free courses would you recommend taking?

Hello, I want to find the most effective courses in the Java language. I want to hear the opinion of experts and find a suitable and effective course so as not to waste time, I consider any options for a book, an online course or a playlist on YouTube, if an online course is free. I really liked the course from Java Rush, but it's a paid infection and costs 1500 per month.

Good afternoon!
I can share my experience of learning Java:
As for me, courses are not worth attending from scratch, because as a result you will be given a certain set of lectures, given homework, etc. and in principle, you will learn the basics of Java development, but in any case, you will have a lot of questions that you would like to ask the teacher.
It is much more interesting when you already know the language and attend courses to systematize your knowledge and gain more experience. In this case, you can even not attend courses, but find a mentor who will be happy to answer your questions. And if you're lucky, you can work on real projects together with a mentor. A mentor will help focus your attention on those things that you might not have previously paid due attention to.
Courses are different and teach differently. To be honest, I didn’t see anything special in JavaRush, just like in the courses offered by Stepik. You can look at Udemy courses, there are some good ones there (you can look at Nail Alishev's courses). There are a couple of courses on YouTube.
But I will say one thing for sure, without books in serious development - nothing. You definitely need to read the books that your colleagues have already recommended to you in their answers.

Agree with Dmitry Rooin terms of literature. I'm not sure about Javarush. Yes, everything is in Russian. Yes, the concept is cool, without boring stuff + additional material in the form of articles from users. But the project positions itself as a learning portal with a large number of practical tasks, which, in my opinion, are designed for mechanical learning of the basics, but not for understanding how it works. In many tasks, especially those where you need to write a clone of some old game, a part of the code is added for you, which, in my opinion, is not very good when it comes to learning. Let the code be bad or even wrong, but you will spend time and find out what the error was, thereby understanding why it arose at all. Hyperskill from Jetbrains is much better in this regard + 2 months of free training with access to any projects and sections. But again, all this is purely individual.

I like Javarash.
I recommend reading some classic book like Eckel / Schildt / Horstman and at the same time studying Javarash. If you work hard, Javarash can be overcome in three months - it's only 4.5 tr. For comparison, Schildt's "Java. Complete Guide" costs about 3tr.
It should also be understood that this is only the beginning of learning. Next - "Modern Java" by Mycroft, "Java Efficient Programming" by Bloch, "Clean Code" by Martin, Spring, etc. Unfortunately, there are vanishingly few courses on everything beyond Java and Spring for beginners. So lean on literature.
I agree with Sergey Gornostaevthat courses are a "tax on stupidity", but I do not agree that this is a waste of time. Everyone has their own background, and it will be enough for someone to read the documentation, and someone should study with a tutor. There is no tragedy in being "stupid". Tragedy - do nothing about it.

and costs 1500 per month.

To be honest, it doesn't cost much.
Of the free ones, there are all sorts of pirated books and metanit, but xs what in quality.
There are free courses on the courser and stepik - just take it with the best rating.
