Which nvidia driver works under ubuntu 14.04.03 and how to install?

Good afternoon everyone.
When installing nvidia drivers under my ubuntu server 14.04. Some problems with X.
When you connect vga to the built-in video card, it shows that the driver is installed and it is already in use.
Video card - gforce 8400gs
version drivers - nvidia-304, nvidia 340 do not work.

Black screen? ubuntu server? maybe a terminal? and why on the server axis firewood nvidia?
