Which multilingual cms to choose?

Hello, I made my first three-language site, Joomla 2.5 was chosen, in general, Joomla turned out to have a lot of pitfalls, and I didn’t like the organization of multilingualism.
Now there is a need to create another site in two languages (Russian and Kazakh), which free cms would you recommend?

ImageCMS - An interesting product, with a simple tpl template engine, multilingual, free corporate version, and if necessary, easily expandable to an online store (paid version).

Think a little about SEO in the future! Keywords, Description, Title! Will a plugin or module allow you to achieve for each version (another language) its key features of indexing! The answer will be obvious....

In order to choose the system you need that will translate resources into other languages, you need a CMS that supports unicode to work with different languages. I have been working with the LiveStreet engine for over a year and so far nothing has come across better. Easy to use and constantly updated. Try it, good luck.

Different people interpret the concept of "multilingualism" very differently. In some cases, this is the support of the same content in parallel in different languages (that is, the same article must be in all supported languages). For some - independent filling with content in different languages and an autofilter when choosing a specific language. And in some cases, it is enough for people that all service messages and inscriptions on the site are switched in accordance with the selected language, and the content is mixed.
If you are satisfied with the latter approach, then Alto CMS supports multilanguage out of the box. Switching languages is possible both by GET parameter (such as site.com/blabla?lang=en) and by specifying the language directly in the address (site.com/en/blabla) - this is all insisted in the config
