Which motherboard to choose for an ESXi computer?

Good day, I'm choosing components for a home laboratory on ESXi and I want to get by with a little blood, very little blood.
As for the processor, I practically have no doubts, this is AMD FX 8320, but according to the motherboard it is not clear whether it makes sense to take it with a 990 chipset, the cheapest GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 costs 3770 rubles, at the same time you can find a used ASRock Extreme3 970 for 1500 rubles, especially since there is a successful experience of using it on the Internet, including with video card forwarding, which is important for me.

Threat
or choose Intel Core i5?
it is more expensive than AMD by about a couple of thousand and there are no eight cores, but you can save on cooling, it will apparently be quieter and have less electricity, plus you don’t need to buy a video card for the hypervisor and take up a slot, and also immediately take a motherboard with two network cards

Intel is too harsh, motherboards from 8K and processors are about the same
